Featured in Wired Magazine's holiday wish list and AHAlife's 100 most coveted gifts of the season. The tables are acclaimed for their capricious, yet sturdy disposition.

The table elastically deforms and stabilizes when force is applied. Watch it at https://vimeo.com/51625557

The Float Table is a matrix of "magnitized" wooden cubes that levitate with respect to one another. The repelling cubes are held in equilibrium by a system of tensile steel cables.

It's classical physics applied to modern design. Each handcrafted table is precisely tuned to seem rigid and stable, yet a touch reveals the secret to Float's dynamic character.

The Brag Collection of tables and benches are characterized by cut and color. Coming soon...

About

RPR is an engineering boutique specializing in the innovation and fabrication of high-end kinetic furniture and lighting.

As designers and engineers we fuse art and technology to create beautifully reactive objects with novel actuation schemes-from passive e.g., levitating and expandable
tables, melting chandeliers, etc.
to fully robotic e.g., mechanized,
computer-controlled chandeliers
and storage systems
.

We relish in defying expectations through artful execution with a staunch allegiance to utility,(apparent) simplicity and technical excellence. We also work with clients to customize aesthetic yet functional products that enhance the versatility of residential/commercial spaces and celebrate the expression of unabashed style.
